How Sponsorship Works
To ensure that our commercial activities are realistic, Practice Firms must practically become a carbon copy or mirror image of one or several existing companies (sponsors). Although a single sponsor is sufficient for a PF to operate, having a variety of sponsors with types of business activities provides a more enriching and diverse experience for the participants.
Benefits for the Practice Firm
In return for the services provided to the practice firm, the sponsor firm receives many benefits. Here are a few examples:
Publicity/Exposure of Your Organization and Products/Services
To organizations and individuals on an international level due to the commercial activities in the international practice firm network
-
To individuals and groups at a regional and national exposure level due to media coverage of practice firm activities in general, and our practice firm in particular
-
To visitors of the practice firm’s home page where the visitors will be able to link to your web site via your logo
-
To other employers who recruit for staff from the practice firm
-
To social service and employment-related agencies who refer their clients to the practice firm.
-
To Canadian government (federal, provincial, municipal) authorities/organizations who will identify the sponsor firm as a company involved in economic development.
The ongoing promotion of the specific products and services provided and marketed by the practice firm via:
- practice firm’s web site;
- the practice firm’s promotional materials (print and electronic);
- presentations and outreach activities;
- practice firm trade shows and gatherings;
- the practice firm’s physical location, where promotional materials are visible to staff members, participants, and visitors;
- regular email promotions and announcements of the products/services to other practice firms
A Source of Recruitment for Staff*
-
who are already familiar with the operations of the sponsor firm, its products, services, and markets;
-
whose professional, technical and personal skills can be assessed by the practice firm
(*Note: Sponsors are never under any obligation to hire any of our program participants)
Other Benefits
Enhanced corporate image due to your involvement in economic development
Knowing that you have improved the quality of life of newcomers by providing them with the opportunity to gain the experience required to effectively compete and find work in the Canadian job market.
Time Commitment of Sponsors
Initially, the sponsor and the practice firm will meet to: a) determine the products and or services that are being marketed, b) receive information on the products and services, c) agree on what types of documents would be provided or shared with the practice firm, and d) discussion, clarification and agreement on any issues of relevance.
Once everything is in place, the time commitment can be minimal.
